This study is the third comprehensive Sector Survey commissioned by the Seta for Finance, Accounting, Management Consulting and other Financial Services (Fasset). The study was conducted in the 2012/2013 financial year and its overall aim was to provide Fasset with an up-to-date and comprehensive picture of its sector including: The employer organisations in the sector; Employees working in the sector; The professional bodies active in the sector; Stakeholders' views on key issues relevant to skills planning in the sector; The overall labour demand and supply situation in the sector, with specific emphasis on skills shortages and mismatches in the demand and supply situation that need rectification; The research capacity and research needs of the sector. The Sector Survey consisted of a survey of employers, a survey of professional bodies, a training provider survey and a learner survey. Information from all four surveys is integrated in this report.
